During the years SASNET has had several researchers and some of them have been part of short-term fellowships (read about the former researchers). One of SASNET's current research projects is called The South Asia Media Project, which aims to study and report on the growing digital media landscape in South Asia and link these results together with the development of the Swedish media landscape. SASNET collaborates with different international research centres around the world. From 2001 until 2009 SASNET distributed 119 planning grants to Swedish researchers working on South Asia related projects within all fields. In order to promote promote more South Asia-related research at Lund University SASNET has the last two years financed four one month positions ("ansökningsmånad") to prepare a research application with a South Asian focus.
